Yannah, one of our financial advisors in Aetos, was riding a grab car and realized that she needed more sales to reach her quota. Desperate, she talked to the Grab driver and asked if he had any life insurance. She did not expect the grab driver to purchase from her because, based on her experience with several drivers she talked to, most never wanted any life insurance anyway.
Surprisingly, the grab driver agreed to schedule a meeting with her. On the meeting day, the grab driver brought his wife, and Yannah did the usual product presentation. The grab driver was just supposed to insure himself, but Yannah was able to convince him to have his wife also insured. The client was able to pay the quarterly premium of around P5,000 each in August, which was a good deal because they were already in their 50s, and it has a lot of many good benefits.
Then the unfortunate thing happened, the grab driver’s wife got cancer in November. The grab driver called Yannah and asked if there was any benefit that they could receive. Yannah was worried because they had just got their insurance, and the insurance company might not pay for it because of fraud. It is possible they just applied for the insurance because they knew that the wife had an illness already.
In December, the client’s wife had a Cervical Biopsy, and it was confirmed that the client had Stage 1 Cervical Cancer. Yannah helped prepare the claim forms and submit all the requirements by January next year. The insurance company said that they needed to review the case to ensure no fraud was involved. If fraud is involved, the company will return the premiums paid and not pay the health insurance benefits.
Through prayers and the support of Aetos Insurance Agency in following up on the claims process, we finally got the result of the insurance company’s investigation in the latter part of February. And the check was released in March. See check below:
(FYI: The client still has life insurance death benefits that her family can get should something happen to her, even if the cancer benefit was already paid)
Who would have thought that Yannah’s bravery in asking the Grab driver for a meeting to discuss insurance would lead to this P500,000 check for her wife with just P5,000 pesos paid by the wife?
Indeed God sends us people who will advise us on how to deal with life and our finances. It is up to us to act on those advice. Because the client was so happy with Aetos and Yannah’s service, she agreed to have a quick interview to encourage others to also get life insurance. See the video below:
